Clinical Fluoroquinolone and Oral Cephalosporin Failures

• Of the 16 patients,

  • 13 met criteria for AECB
  • 3 met criteria for pneumonia

• AECB

  • Cefuroxime given to 6, 5 of which failed
  • Ciprofloxacin given to 5, all failed

• HAP

  • 3/3 died
